2018 Annual NHS R&D Forum: 14th & 15th May 2018
The NHS R&D Forum, Health and Care Research Wales and the Health Research Authority are delighted to announce that the 2018 Annual NHS R&D Forum will be held on the 14th and 15th May 2018 at Celtic Manor, Newport, Wales. 2018 marks the 70th Anniversary of the National Health Service and our 2018 Event will mark this important date. The 2018 Event promises to be one of the best Annual Forums to date.
Celtic Manor is a fantastic venue for our Forum allowing us more space for sessions, exhibition and workshops as well as having enough high quality bedrooms for all of our delegates to stay overnight in the hotel. Celtic Manor has recently been awarded the M&IT 2017 Best Conference Hotel in the UK which secures its place as the leading destination for events in the UK. The Hotel is set in 2,000 acres of panoramic parkland in the beautiful Usk Valley, just off the M4 (J24), only 90 minutes from London Heathrow, 45 minutes from Cardiff Airport and Bristol Airport and 5 minutes from the Severn Bridge. It is located close to intercity rail services at Newport, with direct trains to Cardiff, London Paddington, and Birmingham.
Dr Maria Palmer, Director of the NHS R&D Forum, said “We are delighted to have secured such a fantastic venue for the 2018 Annual Forum. We are grateful to Health and Care Research Wales who have provided tremendous support to us to enable us to bring the Annual Forum to Wales in 2018”
Professor Jon Bisson (Director of Health and Care Research Wales) said “We look forward to welcoming the R&D community across the UK to this great event and to celebrate the importance of research at the exciting milestone of the 70th anniversary of the NHS”
