Job Title: Research and Development Manager / Lead Nurse-Research
Lee is the Research and Development Manager at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. She has worked in research delivery and its development for seven years, most recently working to grow the research culture in the community setting. Much of her work has been collaborative with neighbouring organisations, to allow research to follow the patient pathway, despite perceived organisational boundaries.
She is a qualified nurse with a broad range of clinical experience in intensive care nursing and surgery. Specialist areas include vascular surgery, oesophago gastric, hepato-biliary malignancies and complex benign upper gastro intestinal disease.
Lee has an NIHR MRes in Clinical Research and has recently completed the Ashridge Leadership programme for the R&D function within the NHS. Other studies include a BSc Hons in Professional Practice in Intensive Care Nursing and masters modules in Advancing Cancer Nursing Practice and Research. Lee is committed to increasing the research culture amongst non-medical staff, increasing their confidence to progress their ideas and open opportunities for their patients.
