RDF19 Speaker Details
The NHS R&D Forum are delighted to announce the following speakers for RDF19, The 2019 Annual NHS R&D Forum. RDF19 will be held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton from the 12th-14th May 2019. The Annual NHS R&D Forum is one of the largest gatherings of R&D Directors, Managers, Administrators and related functions in the UK. RDF18 saw over 600 people attend the 2 day conference with 60 speakers, over 60 posters and more than 20 exhibitors.
Job Title: Chair INVOLVE Advisory Group
Tina has worked in the voluntary sector, across disability, in academia, and with regulators as a trainer/lecturer, researcher and involvement consultant. Tina is currently chair of the NIHR INVOLVE Advisory Group. INVOLVE is the national face of active public involvement in the NHS, public health and social care research. Sheis Co-Chair of the Wessex Public Involvement Network (PIN) which was established to promote a commitment to ‘strategic localism’ through partnership working in research.She is also an Honorary Visiting Fellow in the Department of Social Policy and Social Work at the University of York; and an associate at the Centre for Citizenship and Community at UCLan. Tina is a former Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) trustee and former chair of their Co-Production Network; a former Director of HASCAS, who conduct service reviews and homicide investigations. She has enduring mental health problems, having used mental health services over many years and became a user activist through setting up local self-help groups, to being the Chair of the National Survivor User Network having led this from the planning stage to independence.
