RDF19 Speaker Details
The NHS R&D Forum are delighted to announce the following speakers for RDF19, The 2019 Annual NHS R&D Forum. RDF19 will be held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton from the 12th-14th May 2019. The Annual NHS R&D Forum is one of the largest gatherings of R&D Directors, Managers, Administrators and related functions in the UK. RDF18 saw over 600 people attend the 2 day conference with 60 speakers, over 60 posters and more than 20 exhibitors.
Job Title: Director of Science, Research and Evidence

Louise has been Director of Science, Research & Evidence at the Department of Health since April 2016, having returned to the Department following a 14 month secondment to the Association of Medical Research Charities as its Director of policy and public affairs. Prior to that she was Deputy Director of R&D and Head of Research Infrastructure and Growth with policy responsibility for, and oversight of : the NIHR’s clinical research infrastructure in the NHS; R&D relations with the life sciences industries; and leading the Directorate’s input into all major cross Government/industry/NHS initiatives which were established to improve the research partnership between the NHS, universities and the life sciences industries. Previously, Louise worked at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in drug safety, strategic development, and as an EU representative to the International Conference on Harmonisation. She served on the Agency’s Executive Board for four years when she was the Agency’s founding director of the General Practice Research Database, forerunner to the Clinical Practice Research Datalink.
